General Information

This explains how we collect, store, protect, and share your information, and with whom we share it in order to have access to our services offered directly by VORWERG BUSINESS SOLUTIONS LTD (hereinafter “the Company”) , including the Company’s websites, its messaging platform and the Company’s application.

We suggest you read this in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions of Use.

Whilst you’re enjoying our services, including the Company’s application (hereinafter referred to as “App”) and the Company’s website(s) (hereinafter referred to as “Websites”), both terms interchangeable referred to as “Services”)  we collect some information about you. In addition, you may choose to use the App to share information with other users. We may also need to share your information sometimes.

This Policy explains how we protect and use your personal data so please read very carefully!

The Company is the controller and the responsible for this App and the owner and/or responsible entity of the website(s) related and linked to this App

Please, also, note that in case you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to make a complaint at any time to the Privacy Commissioner of Cyprus , who is the Authority responsible for the protection of personal data.

Personal data we collect

When you download the App and/or use the Company’s website to create an account, we may collect, store and transfer the following personal data:

  • Photographs
  • Gender Identity
  • Gender preference
  • Geolocation data, such as mobile device location;
  • That your age is above 17 and
  • Name / Username/mobile phone number/ login information

If you are under 17 years old, please do not send any user information to us as we do not knowingly collect (nor do we wish to collect) any personally identifiable information or other user information from children under the age of 17. In the event that we learn we have collected any personal information from a child under the age of 17, we will delete that information from our database and terminate the corresponding account, if any.

Once you register you will be able to review and change this information at any time.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your details are kept up to date.

Your personal data , may be visible to other Users who view your profile.

Please be careful about the information you disclose about yourself. When you communicate with other Users, the amount of personal information you share is at your own risk.

You will also need to provide us with special categories of personal data (i.e. sensitive personal data, such as information about your gender preference).

Data processing through app stores

Before you can install our App, you may have to enter into a user agreement with an app store operator (e.g. Google or Apple). Our App is available on different app platforms, depending on your particular operating system.

In order to install and use our App via these app stores, you will need to have a valid account with the app store operator as well as a compatible device (e.g. a smartphone). The Company has no control over the collection, processing and use of personal data in this respect. The relevant app store operator will be the sole data controller of this information. If necessary, please contact the operator of the respective app store directly for information about their data processing. The Company is the data controller with respect to your personal data only when you use the App.

Geolocation Information

If you have given the Company access to your location in your device settings, when you use your mobile phone, we will collect information about WiFi access points as well as other location information about your longitude and latitude and may save your device’s coordinates to offer certain features to you. This information helps us identify your physical location and we use it to personalize the App and make it easier for you to interact with other Users, by enabling the general locality information to be displayed to Users seeing your profile and showing you the profiles of other Users who are near you.

If you have given the Company access to your location, but wish to turn this off, you can do so by the following methods:

When you use our App and/or website(s), we may collect personal data from you automatically by using cookies or similar technologies.  We use cookies for a wide range of purposes on our App and/or website(s) and in our email communications to deliver our services and to improve your experience.

Every time you revisit our website, your web browser sends these cookies back to us so that we can customise your experience to better match your interests and preferences or to simply facilitate your signing in to use our services.

Our websites mainly use Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel tracking. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect visitor behaviour information in an anonymous form.   Therefore, no personally identifiable information is collected about you unless you explicitly submit that information on our websites.

The anonymous information generated by Google Analytics cookies about your use of our websites is transmitted to Google – not us.

Facebook Pixel tracking is an analytics tools that allows us to measure the effectiveness of our social advertising by understanding the actions people take on our website. We use website data collected by Facebook Pixel to make sure our advertisements are being promoted to the people who showed interest in our websites and in particular in our services and products. The data collected by Facebook Pixel includes IP address, the browser used and other data such as the number of visitors, which visitors are Facebook users. Facebook Pixel tracking cookie about your use of our websites which is then transmitted to Facebook – not us.  

Users can control and/or delete cookies as they wish.

Users can delete all cookies that are already on their computer and they can set most browsers to prevent them from being placed. If they do this, however, they may have to manually adjust some preferences every time they visit a website.

Integration of Facebook SDK

We would like to inform you that our mobile application now integrates the Facebook SDK (Software Development Kit) provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. (formerly Facebook, Inc.). This integration enables certain features within our app and allows us to enhance your user experience.

The Facebook SDK may collect certain information from your device, such as device identifiers, IP address, and usage data, to provide functionalities such as social sharing, personalized content, and analytics. This information is collected and processed in accordance with Facebook’s Data Policy, which you can review here.

Please note that your interactions with Facebook through our app are governed by Facebook’s own terms and policies, and we encourage you to review them carefully.

By continuing to use our app, you consent to the integration of the Facebook SDK and the collection and processing of data as described in this privacy policy.

How and why we use your personal data.

We use your personal data to:

  • Manage and improve our operations.
  • Contact and interact with you about the App and/or website.

  • Direct interactions: Using our Contact Form you submit your title, name, surname, telephone number, country, company and email.

Your rights

    • This enables you to ask us to delete or remove personal data. You can exercise this right where you have successfully exercised your right to object to processing (as per below), where we may have processed your information unlawfully or where we are required to erase your personal data to comply with local law. Note however that we may not always be able to comply with your request of erasure for specific legal reasons which will be notified to you, if applicable, at the time of your request.
  • Object to processing of your personal data.
    • When there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to processing on this ground as you feel it impacts on your rights and freedoms you have the right to object to processing of your data. You can also exercise this right where we are processing your personal data for direct marketing purposes. Please note that under certain circumstances we may demonstrate that we have compelling legitimate grounds to process your data which override your rights and freedoms.
  • Request restriction of processing your personal data.
    • This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of your personal data in the following cases:
      • if you want us to establish the data’s accuracy
      • where our use of the data is unlawful but you do not want us to erase it
      • where you need us to hold the data even if we do no longer require it as you need it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims
      • if you have objected to our use of your data but we need to verify whether we have overriding legitimate grounds to use it
  • Request transfer of your personal data to you or to a third party.
    • We will provide you with your personal data in a structured, commonly used format. Note that this right only applies to automated information which you initially provided consent for us to use or where we used the information to perform an Agreement with you.

This will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain products or services to you. We will advise you if this is the case at the time you withdraw your consent.

How we protect your rights

We understand how important it is to protect and manage your personal data. This is why we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents and any third parties who it is required for their business to know. We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and the Cyprus National Commissioner of any breach where we are legally required to do so.

Whilst we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard your personal data, it is important that you keep your devices and login information protected from unauthorised use.

We will not keep your personal data longer than we need to. How long depends mainly on factors such as:

  • Why we collected it in the first place
  • How old it is
  • Whether there is a legal/regulatory reason to keep them
